Can you help us?
Recognising that with just six, part time, staff we cannot reach every parish within the designated areas the REACH project is also looking for people who may be interested in helping to identify opportunities by becoming a Community Contact.
A community contact will act as a volunteer representative in the Parish where they live. They will:
-
Encourage friends, relatives and others to volunteer their time for the benefit of local groups and projects.
-
Let the REACH team know what kind of help, advice and support may be needed in their own Parish.
-
Act as a link between their Parish and various services that are available within the district.
Community contacts will be working with and supported by our Community Development Workers and through them REACH will keep local communities informed of new volunteering opportunities, services, activities and training. In return Community Contacts will get:
-
Regular support and contact from the REACH community development worker.
-
Support from the Volunteer Centres in Hereford & Ledbury.
-
Appropriate training and development.
-
The opportunity to meet and socialise with other community contacts in the County.
-
Expenses incurred on behalf of REACH such as travel costs reimbursed.
