Welcome to the REACH project in Herefordshire.
REACH is an exciting project which provides support and guidance to help develop local initiatives. In rural Herefordshire, many areas don’t receive the support they need simply because they are hard to get to!
REACH is dedicated to offering advice and assistance with all aspects of a project from developing the idea, establishing the public benefit, attracting support and volunteers to writing a constitution and ongoing management. The officers working for REACH can help you find whether funding is available, give you advice about project management, help you recruit volunteers and offer training where necessary.
Since the start of the project in January 2010 the project has helped a small group with an application for charitable status, set up several allotment initiatives, helped communities tackle rural isolation and is assisting a community resource centre to take on its council-owned building. REACH has also provided training courses in food hygiene, first aid, volunteer management and building simple websites.
